It's been such a long time and I know I use this excuse every time but I have seriously been such a busy bee over the past couple of months. It has been so incredible that I have to share what I have been up to and what exactly are my Autumn/Winter projects.
Did someone say Short Film?
Yes, tis true that I am currently working on writing, producing and directing my first 3 minute short film, which will go towards my final grade at college. Whilst it has been a long, stressful (mostly me causing my own stress) and difficult process, I'm happy to report that things are looking great and I'm very proud of everyone that is involved.
What is this short film about, Dobbs? Well I'll tell you. The title of it is Prophetic Justice and here is a little synopsis to tease you:
A young girl with Asperger Syndrome describes her view of the future in a 1989 time capsule video despite the doubts & fears of the present society. Only the future will tell if she’s right or wrong…
The film should be out around late December / early January. I feel so honoured that I can use this film to showcase how amazing people on the Autistic Spectrum are, hopefully you all will like it!
This Is Halloween!
Yes! Don't we all love a bit of Halloween? I hope everyone had an awesome (yet safe) time on Halloween. My Halloween lasted for 3 days (I don't have the third picture yet), which meant a different costume for each day (bye bye money!)
But I had such a blast! I hope you all enjoyed my Halloween Extravaganza last Friday, where I dressed up as Skeleton Jack, King of the Pumpkin Patch and if you missed it, you can catch again on Break London on the 4th of Nov 2013 4-6PM!
Polish Commenius in London!
Remember how in June, myself and a few of my peers from college went on a exchange trip to Poland? Well, we opened our arms and homes to the students in Poland who hosted us and we got to show them a Londoners lifestyle.
It was a lovely few days; we explored the sights of London, managed to catch (not literally) a West End show and even got to ride in the London Eye, which moves a lot faster than you would think.
I hope the students in Poland had an enjoyable and memorable stay and I hope we visit each other soon!
Is It The Shoe's Festival by Parable!
Break London and APE Media were lucky enough to be a sponsor to an event called Is It The Shoe's, which was an incredible 4 day festival put on by We Are Parable on the impact trainers have had on pop culture. I was grateful to be on of their DJ's alongside Sillky Froback and AudioSpyder on the first day of the festival. It was an incredible night and exhibition from We Are Parable, who pride themselves on telling stories through the power of events. Hopefully, we are invited back for future events as I know we'd love to work with them again!
Kiss FM Chosen One 2013 Auditions!
At the beginning of Last Month, Kiss FM alongside Garnier UK held open auditions at the two Westfields (Shepards Bush & Stratford City) for their next presenter. A load of your favourite Break London presenters tried out such as Sillky Froback, Chris Samuels, Mya & Jazzmine, Rebecca and Nissy Tee but alas none us won. However do want to say a big congrats to the winner Charlie Tisma and theres always next year to try out. Congrats to all who went out & tried!
Yes, Intelligentsia Fridays had our second official Intelligentsia Presents night at Strongroom Bar in Shoreditch. It was an amazing night filled with laughs, mad antics and of course CHOONES. It was nice being able to get on the decks with my Intelligentsia Crew and just battle it out. Cannot wait for the next one and will keep you updated on when that will be!
So thats what I have been getting up to during these increasingly colder months. I hope you all have had an awesome couple of months too and I promise I'll try my hardest to keep you all updated with the latest that's going on. You can also hear the latest by listening in to my show every Friday from 4-6PM with repeats on Monday at the same time.
Love & Fairy Dust,
